AS OUR COMMISSIONER, Scott has worked to combat government overreach during the COVID-19 pandemic, cut costs and defend taxpayers, and defend our right to bear arms by writing and voting for a resolution which allows firearms to be carried on county property. Scott also leveraged federal rescue dollars that will provide affordable fibered internet access to over 1,000 unserved homes in Perry County.
A lifelong Perry County resident, he is a proud husband, father, and small business owner in our community. He is a member of the Holy Trinity Parish, the NRA and a longtime youth athletics coach for our children.
Scott Owen knows small business is the backbone of Perry County. That’s why he worked to create the Perry County Small Business Relief Program which distributed over $382,000 of federal funds to 59 small businesses during state ordered shutdowns.
As our Commissioner, Scott has always worked to assure taxpayer funds are used appropriately and efficiently. He’s worked closely with county departments to develop creative ways to reduce costs and have accountability on behalf of taxpayers.
